Who are the classes for?
People, who live and work in Dundee, have no or very little English and want to improve their skills.
What will I do in the class?
Basic English for everyday life needs - speaking and listening with a little reading and writing. You will work at your own pace.
Is there a cost?
No, the classes are free.
What level of English teaching is provided?
There are classes to help people with basic skills in written and spoken English. There are also intermediate classes for people who want to improve their basic English.
When are the classes held?
Classes are available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings
How long are the classes?
Usually two hours once a week
Where are the classes?
Are there groups in different parts of Dundee?
Yes. There are groups meeting across the City - when you come in for a chat you will be able to discuss where and when is most suitable for you.

How big are the classes?
Usually between 6 and 8 people are in each group
Are there separate classes for women and men?
Yes, there are women only, men only and mixed classes - you choose.
Is there childcare?
Yes, some classes have childcare available but this is not always possible to provide and it is for children aged 0-5 years old only
Can you help with the Citizenship Test?
A member of staff will be able to tell you where to find help.
What will happen when I phone 66 66 65?
You will be given an appointment to meet someone who will discuss your needs, give you more information about English classes and help you decide what will suit you best.
