Is it for me?
Yes, it's for anyone who happens to find reading, writing, spelling or everyday arithmetic difficult. You can get different types of help. This includes:

help to improve your spelling, reading or writing

the chance to practice everyday arithmetic

the opportunity to brush up your skills if you are thinking of going to college

the chance to practice written or spoken English if your first language isn't English

Will there be other people like me?
Yes. One in five adults have a problem with reading, writing or arithmetic. There are people of all ages from all parts of the City attending for help.

What will happen when I phone 66 66 65?
The person who answers the phone will understand your issues. They will arrange an appointment for you to come in and meet someone to have a chat about your needs, let you know what support is available and help you to decide on the best option for you.

I think I might be dyslexic - is there help for me?
Yes. There is help for people who want to improve their literacy skills and who have additional support needs such as dyslexia.

My first language is not English - is there help for me?
Yes. There are classes across the City which provide for different levels of understanding, for more information click here.

I didn't like school, will classes be like that?
No. Adult tuition is very different from school.

the learning goes at your own pace

programmes are developed to suit your own needs

Are there groups in different parts of Dundee?
Yes. There are groups meeting across the City - when you come in for a chat you will be able to discuss where and when is most suitable for you.
